Tezuka Kunimitsu +//+What makes a smile+\\+2

Recap: So, it was your first day in Seigaku, and you didn't start of very well. You had just met the guy outside the R.O. door, who said he was to bring you up to class.

Your P.O.V.
****************

I immediately felt my face flush. God that was so embarassing. I should have studied the map properly first before I act so cocky next time...

"Ahhas... Uhm... Right, I knew that." I grinned sheepishly, purposely fumbling about my cap. "Just testing you to see if you were paying attention."

The boy gave me a Yeah,-Right,-Whatever-it-does-to-save-your-own-face look, and then walked in the opposite direction. The right corner of my mouth twitched upwards like whenever I got really annoyed.

"Follow me," he said, without turning back. I jogged up to catch him, half noticing that I had to lengthen my strides quite somewhat to keep up with him. Thank goodness I had good stamina.

"So, hey! What's your name? Mine's Hideyuna, but i guess you already knew that, dincha?" I looked up at him, half trying to start a conversation, while also wanting to know him better. He continued walking and did not entertain my question. I sucked in my bottom lip and bit on it. What's with him?

I was just about to open my mouth to say something when he abruptly stopped, and I crashed into him.

"Ah! Gomen-nasai!" I gasped as he turned around. I rubbed my nose, praying like hell that I wouldn't get another nosebleed. When I didn't taste blood at the back of my throat, I wriggled my nose cautiously to make double sure. Phew. I wiped imaginary sweat off my forehead, and realised that the boy was looking at me.

I felt her crash into the small of my back and heard her apology. I turned around to see her fanning frantically at her nose, which made quite a sight.

"What?" She was now looking at me, and I realised I was staring. I gave a fake cough and simply said, "We've reached the classroom."

She narrowed her eyes and looked up at the signboard thar hung outside the classroom door that sreamed out the words(in Japanese) "YEAR 3, CLASS 1".

"Oh. Okay. Thanks!" She smiled. I walked into class and bowed to the teacher.

"Harumi-sensei, I've found Hideyuna."

Back to you own P.O.V.
***********************

"Harumi-sensei, I've found Hideyuna," the boy said. I felt my cheeks swell. Did he mean to say I was lost?

"Oh thank you Tezuka-kun." Oh, so the boy's name is Tezuka. "Come in Hideyuna!" The Harumi-sensei called out to me, still standing by the door. I walked in.

"WHHHATTT!!!" I covered my ears and banged my eyes shut and gritted my teeth together as the hairs on the back of my neck(and all over my body) stood on end when a certain someone shrieked, and I suddenly had this crazy image of nails scratching against a blackboard. Well, she did sound like that...

"WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING HERE?!!?" Oh gosh it just cannot be that girl... I swallowed a glop of saliva as I turned my head in the direction of the screeching nails.

Standing at her place, was the earlier girl I met at the R.O. downstairs just now, pointing a heavily manicured finger at me. But somehow, she looked... different....

I heaved with a slight relief, and looked at her.

"Keep that finger down girl, you're gonna break a nail," I beat the teacher to saying it. She looked horrified that someone had talked back to her, and I got another crazy image of her arriving to school in a fancy car driven by a chauffer, steping out wearing a padded white animal fur jacket with matching unbrella and a lot of make-up. That's it! Her make-up's gone! No wonder why she look different...

The teacher looked at me weirdly, then back at her.

"Please calm down Tashina-kun. I will not tolerate any of those words in my class." Tashina, what a posh name. Describes a daddy's girl to the extreme. Anyway, Tashina looked as if she was forced to obey rules for the first time in her life and remained standing. I rolled my eyeballs.

"That means sit down, or do I have to show you how to?" I looked at her. Her white cheeks, which obviously had never gone under the sun before, turned red with obvious anger as she sat down. The teacher looked at me again. Like as if no other student had ever dared to speak to Tashina like that before. I grinned.

"Erm... Yes. Ano... Class, we have a new student here with us today. I want all of you to guide him and be friendly to him and help him adjust to school life in Seigaku, okay," She paused as the students nodded their heads. "So, Hideyuna, will you please tell us more about yourself?"

"Me? Okay. First up, please can everyone DO NOT call me Hideyuna? Yuna is pretty much fine by me. Well, waddya wanna know? I'm fourteen going on fifteen, wake up and brush my teeth them have breakfast.... And uhh..." I saw a brunette boy in glasses with his hand up in the air. "Yes?" I addressed him.

"Why don't you have a surname?" I should have guessed.

"BECAUSE HE DOESN'T HAVE A FAMILY!" Another blond porcelain doll shrieked from the back of the class. Must be that TanaShi's lackey. My mouth visibly twitched.

"Oh yes I do. And they're the best that there every is. Who cares about surnames?" I could feel my anger rising.

"Oh yeah? I bet they can't get you this perfectly nice branded bag that just came out this morning, limited edition." The porcelain doll smirked.

"You call that junk nice? It's got hearts and ribbons all over it, and what's that? Your boyfriend's name in lacy rose pink ribbons? How tacky. I wonder what he thinks." I acted mock-surprised and faked a thought. The teacher clearly noticed the sparks and cleared her throat.

"Uhmm... Why don't you Hideyuna go sit beside Tezuka there? Tezuka would you please raise your hand, thank you? There's an empty seat." She pointed to Tezuka just as he raised his hand.

You heard whispers around you as you walked on to where the empty seat beside Tezuka was. And to get there, I had to walk past Tashina. She stuck out her foot as if I would be dumb enough to trip over it.

Side-stepping, i dodged it and gave her a you-better-move-your-fucking-leg-or-else-die look and she cowered back a little in fright.

"Cheers. First day in school and lo and behold, a wonderful new enemy." I murmurmed to Tezuka as I sat down, without really expecting a reply. Tezuka looked at me with a you're-in-for-it-that's-her-really-bad-side look for a brief split-second before he turned away.
